Most of us have at least one TV in our RV and at least one DVD player or VCR. In our RV, as small as it is, we have two TVs and TWO DVD players. Sheesh! Keeping track of the remotes is tough and we always seem to have the wrong one in our hand when we need it. At home we use the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IC0YL8?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B002IC0YL8">Logitech Harmony 900 Rechargeable Remote with Color Touch Screen</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B002IC0YL8" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />. When we go out in the RV we just bring the remote with us. I programmed in all the home devices and RV devices so the remote doesn&#8217;t know where it is most of the time! </p>
<p>The software that comes with the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IC0YL8?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B002IC0YL8">Logitech Harmony 900 Rechargeable Remote with Color Touch Screen</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B002IC0YL8" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> is really easy to use. Logitech&#8217;s online database of devices has yet to be fooled by me. They can always find the TV or DVD I try and program into the remote. It is hard to believe, but it is true. The <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002IC0YL8?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B002IC0YL8">Logitech Harmony 900 Rechargeable Remote with Color Touch Screen</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B002IC0YL8" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> is truly a universal remote!</p>

<p>Why? What makes this new one worth it?</p>
<p>First it is Internet connected and uses Garmins new Nulink! Services for forecasts etc. You get 2 years free access to these services, which is almost worth the price you pay for the device! You can do a Google Local search to find a restaurant, Search Local events, check the weather, and what I like the most is that you can build a list of destinations and sync them to the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LVUQYQ?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B002LVUQYQ">Garmin nüvi 1690 4.3-Inch Portable Bluetooth Navigator with nüLink! I was disappointed from the start. First it leaks debris when folded, then it really does not have much capacity and finally the battery life was horrible.</p>
<p>I left it in the charger and though I could just bring it a long on trips to do quick cleanup but the battery would not last a few uses. Finally the battery just gave out and would not hold a charge at all. The worst part is how it spilled when it was closed. You are meant to close it to fit into the charger. But when you do close it the stuff you just picked up fell out. I just cannot recommend the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001EWEV1M?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B001EWEV1M">Black &#038; Decker PHV1800CB 18-Volt Pivoting-Nose Cordless Energy-Star Handheld Vacuum Cleaner</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B001EWEV1M" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />.</p>

I really know my allergies are going to get me when I see those little particle floating in the air when the light hits them just right. So we use the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I4SD3E?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B000I4SD3E">3M FAPF02 Filtrete Ultra Cleaning Filter</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B000I4SD3E" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> in our motorhome. Now we do not have the nice area for it to fit into instead I need to cut it to fit into the air intake of the standard overhead AC. This does not work for the heater since it is a different system and I am not so sure I am as worried about that since we use the AC about 10 times more than the heat. </p>
<p>Anyway you cannot beat Filtrete Fitlers. I buy the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I4SD3E?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B000I4SD3E">3M FAPF02 Filtrete Ultra Cleaning Filter</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B000I4SD3E" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> because I get three filters out of one home sized filter.</p>
<p><iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&#038;bc1=000000&#038;IS2=1&#038;bg1=FFFFFF&#038;fc1=000000&#038;lc1=0000FF&#038;t=rvgadgets-20&#038;o=1&#038;p=8&#038;l=as1&#038;m=amazon&#038;f=ifr&#038;md=10FE9736YVPPT7A0FBG2&#038;asins=B000I4SD3E" style="width:120px;height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0" class="aligncenter"></iframe></p>

This meant some fire safety. We needed a nice ring of stones as well as something to snuff out the fire when we were done. Now I know there are other uses for a shovel at a campsite, but we were in an RV, so we previously hadn&#8217;t needed one. The <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009PUTES?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B0009PUTES">Coleman Folding Shovel and Pick</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B0009PUTES" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> sure fit the bill. It reminded me of the shovels I had when I was in the Army. Simple and small and easy to stow.</p>

I know it is actually in Williams, but if you tell someone you went to Williams, AZ they have no idea where that is. We checked out the Deer Farm up there and overall had a lot of fun.</p>
<p>We wanted to cook at the site every meal and for that we used the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004RALL?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B00004RALL">Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill, Black</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B00004RALL" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />. It was easy to throw on the back of the RV using the hitch mounted pad we have. Picked up some coal and we were ready to go. </p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004RALL?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B00004RALL">Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill, Black</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B00004RALL" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> is your classic grill. It can cook enough food for 4 and is simple to use. The trick is to get the coals hot. Here is what I did. I used regular briquettes. Soaked them with lighter fluid. Waited a few minutes and lit them up. Left to top off to burn. When they are about 1/4 gray then I cover the grill with the vent fully open. I monitor it since this can sometimes cause it to snuff out. </p>
<p>When I get some red or orange glow I know I am ready to cook. I never move the coals around at all. I completely leave it sit. Then I place the food on the grill and let it cook. You get a pretty hot flame so watch the food carefully!<br />
<a href="http://rvgadgets.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Weber-10020-Smokey-Joe-Silver-Charcoal-Grill-Black2.jpg"><img src="http://rvgadgets.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Weber-10020-Smokey-Joe-Silver-Charcoal-Grill-Black2-300x225.jpg" alt="" title="Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill, Black2" width="300" height="225" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-194" /></a>.</p>
<p>To store the grill I just left it on the rear platform that I removed from the RV.</p>

<p>So now that we have made the switch to HD over the air my rv antenna is not doing the job. I needed a better antenna. The good news is the new signal is easy to grab indoors &#8212; especially inside an RV. So I went with the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007MXZB2?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=rvgadgets-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B0007MXZB2">Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High-Definition Antenna for Off-Air HDTV Reception</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=rvgadgets-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B0007MXZB2" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />. I can mount it inside easily on a shelf or I have even went on the roof when I was parked for an extended amount of time.</p>
<p>Issues I have with the device is that it does tip over easily and it is rather large. The reception is outstanding and it looks neat. If you are looking to grab the new signals then this is the device for you. Now you still need a tv that can handle the signal, but most newer rvs have that covered.</p>
