Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit

Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit

The Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit is an awesome tool for the adventurous RVer. Those of us who use our rvs to hunt, hike, backpack, motorcycle trails, or just spent a bunch of time away from the rv can benefit from a solar charger like the Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit.

It is a simple process. Get the Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit out in the open and plug your device in. The great thing is, the Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit is even compatible with your iPad. This is typically a sticking point for charging devices since the iPad has a higher amp demand than most USB chargers can provide. Even plugging my iPad into my PC does not charge it (it really does, but only very slowly and the iPad tries to tell me it isn’t charging). Charging an iPad means the Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit can put out some power.

I can tell you the Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit is easy to carry. I am not sure how often I would use it to charge a tablet device, but for the phone while tent camping it is excellent. A quick charge in an emergency is certainly possible, but a long term charge for a camera or AA batteries is well suited for the Goal Zero 19010 Guide 10 Plus Small Adventure Kit.

Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate

Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate

The Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate is one of those additions to your rv that you love until it is empty. Once it is empty you hate it until you fill it up and then you love it again.

Such a simple device, the Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate weaves its way into your everyday life until one day you reach up and the Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate is empty. Then you fret until the next trip to the grocery store where you buy some more paper plates and refill the Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate.

Then you are happy again. Once you get used to popping the 9″ plates (not the styro-foam or hard plastic type mind you) out of the Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate you are back in business.

The Camco 57001 White RV Pop-A-Plate is mounted with screws and very sturdy. It isn’t going anywhere! Just be sure to read the directions and try the “patented” thumb grab diagrammed on the packaging. It really does work!

Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard

Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard

In our RV we have a window directly behind the burners on our stove. Many RVs have the same configuration. While that window is great for ventilation it is not great for cleaning when oil or other cooking contaminants get on the glass and screen. The Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard is just what we needed to solve that problem.

Not only does the Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard prevent oil splatters from reaching the window and screen, it also helps guide any smoke and smell from cooking into the overhead hood. This is great in an RV because the smells and smoke get out and fast. It still takes me a minute to remember to put up the Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard before we start cooking, but it isn’t long before we realize the difference. The Norpro 2063 Nonstick Splatter Guard is a pleasure to use, cleanup is easy, and it is almost an essential kitchen appliance in the RV or in the home.

Safety 1st Adjustable Multi-Purpose Strap

Safety 1st Adjustable Multi-Purpose Strap

The Safety 1st Adjustable Multi-Purpose Strap Pack of 6 Straps is a set of straps that you can use to hold just about anything down or closed. We have used these to hold the fridge closed when our latch broke, we use them for one drawer that refuse to sit up on its closure ramp, and even once to see if we could hold the coffee mug in the maker (it worked, but the heat made the adhesive lose grip over time).

The point is if you have a drawer that wont close you are going to want the Safety 1st Adjustable Multi-Purpose Strap Pack of 6 Straps on hand. 6 of them in case you have a massive failure or drawers, or I bet you will find other uses for them as well.

Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect

Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect

The Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect is a quick and easy way to clear out your water lines. After you drain the hot water tank and are sure you opened a cold water faucet, hook up the Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect and apply 25psi of pressure. Piece of cake. All the water is blown from the lines easily.

The Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect isn’t without risk. If you fail to open a line there is a chance you can build up pressure in the system and cause damage. Be sure to open a line! Next step is to add your winterizing fluid if needed in your area.

We use the Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect after every trip. Just clearing out the hot water tank might be enough, but the extra few minutes to clear the water lines is easy and just makes me sure we won’t have any surprises when we head out next time. The Camco 36143 RV Blow Out Plug with Brass Quick Connect sits in the toolbox and gets attached for a minute or two at time each trip. Not too bad for under $10.

Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger

Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger

Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger is a device you buy and forget about. You place it on your rig/boat/rv/atv and forget it. When you return to your vehicle the battery is ready to go. That could be weeks, months, or just hours. The Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger will have the battery charged and ready to go.

It does stink that the Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger does its job so well. The only drawback is that it does it too well and only 12V. Most RVs have a house battery that is 24V. This charger wont help there, but that isn’t what it is for. I mounted the Battery Tender 021-0123 Battery Tender Junior 12V Battery Charger under the hood and have the plug easily accessible from the outside. I removed the clamps and hard wired it to the battery, but that just means I do not have to raise the hood. It wasn’t absolutely necessary.

Overall. Great charger, great maintainer, just hook it up and and forget about it.

Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator

Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator

The Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator is one of those no-brainer must-haves. Not only does the Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator keep out the sun and cold, but also dust and any bugs that might sneak in through the skylights.

We have two RV vents/sky lights in our RV. One near the front, and the other in the bathroom. We placed the Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator in the front so that we can sleep in a little and left the bathroom open. The front vent is above a sleeping area and the back is above the toilet. We care a lot more about dust and bugs up front. The reflective coating on the Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator is a nice touch too. We have had the other inserts that were not reflective and they did seem to glow in bright daylight.

We didn’t even need to use the included velcro tabs on the Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator. It just fit snug into the opening. Easily removed for the times we want to use the vent, and then back up there for travel/sleep. We even have the cool covers over the outside of our vents and the Camco 45192 Sunshield RV Vent Insulator just does such a great job of blocking he sun, dirt, and bugs we wont travel without it.
