We talked in our last post about the rio sports sand anchor and it reminded us of the Boss Pet – Prestige 30ft Beast/Dome Stake Combo.

We use the Boss Pet – Prestige 30ft Beast/Dome Stake Combo to quickly and easily keep our dog Guinness tied up and safe. She has a bark to wake the dead and scare the living our of their socks and having something that inspires confidence in the park owners is important. There are several sizes available for different sized dogs. Guinness is about 75lbs and this one works great. We keep the leash that comes with it “refreshed” because the sun and wear and tear can make it brittle within a year or so.

To get the stake into the ground is the easy part. You just hammer it in. To get it back out is a bit harder. You have to wiggle it back and forth for a bit and then pull it up. Do not bother to twist it since it has a nice big blade to prevent that. You have to get it pretty far into the ground so that your pooch can enjoy the swivel with out any binding. Anyway, for the price the Boss Pet – Prestige 30ft Beast/Dome Stake Combo is a great deal and a simple device.
