Carol and I really like that many RV campgrounds offer free wifi, but we have a lot of experience with these free wifi hotspots either costing too much or just not working reliably. In either case these hotspots do not work while you are on the road. The Novatel MiFi 2200 Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspot Modem (Verizon Wireless)
works while you are driving, while you are parked at Wal-Mart or even at a park that has no wifi. As long as you are in the Verizon network you have coverage. Up to 5 computers can connect at a time, so you can share this with your smart phones or even the neighbors. It does require some power and network, but a great solution if you need to be connected to the Internet.
